The India summer Days festival is a result of the fascinating and enriching friendship India shares with Germany. The partnership between the state of Maharashtra, India with Baden, Wurrtemburg, has led to the creation of this festival. The core committee comprises of a committed team, with experts in arts and theatre from both countries. With three leaders spearheading the team behind the festival, one can expect only the best from start to finish.
The Indo-German committee that heads the event, has been hosting it for the past decade now. Having started in 2010, the event is held in both countries of India and Germany, and has seen good response. Being a platform to showcase culture, exchange ideas and bring people together has been the objective of the series of events, which have been well received.
Every year, the committee chooses a cultural panel to bring in the best from both countries. The panel takes up a comprehensive selection process to select the participants for its show. The event which is held in July at Kalsruhe, is also held at Mumbai, India, where participants from Germany showcase culture, cuisine and art from this part of the world.
Conducted with the mission of enhancing cultural understanding and preserving the rich ways of the past, this event brings a new set of talent and shows every year, making it bigger, better and more exuberant than before.
